With 5 Lok Sabha seats Uttrakhand will vote. The Uttrakhand is second fastest growing state in India. 65 candidates are contesting in five constituencies. Which is less than 2014 Loksabha election were 96 candidates appeared. The state is primarily divided into two region- Kumaon and Garhwal. On some highlighted issues Uttrakhand is being intense for battel of election. In 2014 parliamentary election all the five seats were in the BJP favour. As the BJP was the strongest party in 2014 election with 284 majority seats. All the 5 seats of Uttrakhand held by the BJP that are- Tehri Garhwal, Garhwal, Almora, Nainital & Haridwar.

The main issues on which Uttrakhand will vote, depands on tourism. So, what the next government do to uplift the tourism? Is the side of voting. Some other markable issues are pollution caused by the tourist, housing facilities, electricity, missing people (in natural calamities), education, Agriculture& livestock and landslides. One of the main issue is failure of early warning system during natural disaster.

According to 2011 census the Uttrakhand has the largest Hindu regional population with 82.97% and 13.95% Muslim. 66.75% of the Uttrakhand population residing in rural areas.

Number of polling centers are 11,235, for the only one phase election in Uttrakhand.
