Shardul Thakur to replace Bumrah for ODIs against England
India’s top pace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah was already ruled out of the T20 series against England due to his injured left thumb. The latest news is that he won’t be available in the 50 over games also.
He got himself injured in the very first T20 against Ireland and he was straight away rested and ruled out of the T20 series so that he recovers well in time for the One Day’s. BCCI released a statement today which said that “Bumrah underwent a surgery on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Leeds before returning to India, The surgery was successful and he will commence rehabilitation under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team.”
For the T20 matches, Deepak Chahar was roped in for Bumrah, he did not play in the first game today but might well do his debut today in Cardiff.
